John Paul Young - Now
Happy The Man/Groovin'/Just One Look/ I'm Walkin/I'm Left You're Right She's Gone/Ain't That A Shame/Medely_Blue Moon,Stormy Wheather/ Love Is In The Air/Silver Shoes And Strawberry Wine/I Hear You Knockin'/St. Louis/Hard Road
There’s not much of John’s career that hasn’t already been documented: a string of hits spawned over 4 million record sales, a couple of King of Pop awards (The ARIA of their day), a Logie and a bunch of radio and TV awards from around the country and overseas.
JPY’s signature tune “Love Is In The Air” came back as an international hit in the 90’s after it was included on the soundtrack for the movie “Strictly Ballroom”. John’s been back in the charts in Europe since with “…Air” on a Milk&Sugar Vs JPY mix, and also with an IRS Vs JPY remake of “Can’t Take My Eyes Of You”. JPY’s ability to vary from a light pop to an edgy rock pop voice and his sparkling personality gave a particular stamp to a special type of Australian pop – one that found hits throughout Europe, South Africa & the US.
As a performer John was hard to beat, and remains so. There are few people who enjoy playing music as much and who give the audience their all. After featuring in the TV Series “Long Way to the Top” John and The Allstar Band climbed aboard for the 2002 National Tour and again to tour nationally in 2006 & 2007 on the highly successful Countdown Arena Spectaculars. In 2008 John was awarded the International Variety (The Children's Charity) Club's "Presidential Citation" for services to the charity. Also in 2008 John was nominated for a Helpmann Award for best supporting artist in “Shout” The Johnny O'Keefe Musical - playing 14 cameo roles throughout the show meant for lots of quick changes & an impressive variety of character voices.
On August 27th, 2009 John joined a selection of Australia’s finest musicians in the ARIA Hall of Fame. A statement to the incredible musician he is and his outstanding contribution to the music industry.

Johnny Young (born Johnny Benjamin de Jong, 12 March 1947) is a Dutch Australian singer, composer, record producer, disc jockey, television producer and host. Originally from Netherlands, his family settled in Perth, Western Australia in the early 1950s. Young had a career in the 1960s as a pop singer and had a number one hit with the double-A-side, "Step Back" and "Cara-lyn" in 1966. As a composer, he penned number one hits, "The Real Thing" and "The Girl That I Love" for Russell Morris, "The Star" for Ross D. Wylie and "I Thank You" for Lionel Rose. He presented and produced the popular television show, Young Talent Time, which screened on Network Ten from 1971 to 1988 – it launched the careers of teen pop stars Jamie Redfern, Debra Byrne, Dannii Minogue and Tina Arena – typically each episode closed with a sing-along rendition of The Beatles song "All My Loving".
On 9 March 1990, Young was inducted into the TV Week Logie Awards' Hall of Fame. On 27 October 2010, he was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame by Tina Arena who performed his song, "The Star". He is the first, and so far only, person to be inducted in both halls.

Motor Ace - Animal
Want You/The Time, The Place/A Little Closer/Not So Blue/Ordinary Day/Tomorrow's Gone/The Winning Streak/You'll Fall/In Space/No Place to Go
Motor Ace were an Australian alternative rock band. Formed in Melbourne around 1998 out of the remains of another band named Snowblind, their members were Patrick ('Patch') Robertson (vocals/guitar), Damian Birchall Costin (drums), Matt Balfe (bass), and Dave Ong (guitar).
Animal is the third and final album by Australian post-grunge band Motor Ace, released in 2005. A more reflective CD, it had less emphasis on upbeat rock and was heralded by critics as Motor Ace's most mature work yet.
Unfortunately, Animal didn't quite reach the commercial heights of its predecessors, dropping out of the ARIA Top 40 after only three weeks. The album received little, if any, support from radio - including Triple J, which had previously given the band heavy airplay. The commercial failure of the album prompted Motor Ace to officially disband by the end of 2005.

Powderfinger - On My Mind
On My Mind/Sweetness (Band Room Demo)/On My Mind (Band Room Demo)/ This Song Has Gone to Hell (Studio Outtake)
"(Baby I've Got You) On My Mind" (also known simply as "On My Mind") is a song on Powderfinger's fifth studio album Vulture Street. It was released as a single in 2003 and reached #9 on the Australian music chart, the band's third highest charting single to date.
After two albums of Powderfinger releasing singles that were either acoustic anthems (such as "My Happiness") or ballads ("The Metre" or "The Day You Come"), Powderfinger decided to release a heavy rock song as their new album, Vulture Street's lead single. In accordance with this, the band's publicity was geared towards a more rock oriented slant, with magazine covers and articles indicating that they were "returning to rock," alluding to the rock albums Parables for Wooden Ears and the highly successful Double Allergic, however some criticism was that the band's "rock" sound was different from previous releases, indicating that they were trying to be more like AC/DC than previously. Although the single for the song was released under the title of "On My Mind," the album cover has the song's title printed as "(Baby I've Got You) On My Mind." It is alleged that Bernard Fanning implicitly wrote the lyrics as a tribute to former radio and television personality John Burgess.
The album's artwork is of a painted ship entitled "On My Mind". The design style of the cover and case is in the same style as the other singles from Vulture Street, however all are very different from the album itself, except for the use of highly contrasting colours.

Max Merritt - Max Merritt And The Meteors (A Little Easier)
King Size Rosewood Bed/Mr. Horizontal/Wrong Turn/Coming Back/
A Little Easier/Find A Home/Long Time Gone/Slipping Away
In May 1975 Clive Davis, head of Arista Records, arrived in London to establish a UK division of the company. On the recommendation of Rolling Stone journo Andrew Bailey, Davis went to hear the Meteors at the Nashville Rooms and signed them on the spot, making them the first signing to the new division. Their first single on Arista was the superb "A Little Easier", released in July. On the basis of this song alone one can see why Davis signed them. It's a swampy, foot-stompin soul-blues chant, with a a masterful vocal by Max and tasty Leslie-treated slide guitar by Gourd, the song. Surely one of Max's very best recordings, it had 'hit' written all over it, but parocialism seems to have held sway once again and tragically it didn't create any interest at all in the UK.
Their first Arista album, also called A Little Easier, was released in September along with their second single, the poignant "Slippin' Away". Happily, this caught the ear of Aussie radio program directors and it and became their biggest Australian hit ever. Max's classic ballad reached #2 in Australia, and buoyed by the single's success, the album soared up the national chart and became an Australian best seller, reaching #4 in November 1975. It fared equally well in New Zealand, reaching #5 in November and staying on the NZ charts for six months, although curiously the album did not chart there. It also garnered considerable airplay in London and should have been a big hit there, but problems with Arista's distribution department hampered the availability of the single and interest ebbed away.

Tommy Leonetti - Dream Street
What Is There To Say/ Exactly Like You/ Lost In A Fog/Lucky In Love/My Ideal/Now I Know/The Way You Look Tonight/Cross Your Heart/ The One I Love Belongs To Somebody Else/Deep Purple
While not Strictly an Australian Artist Tommy Leonetti did live and record here for a number of years and while not quite in the same catergory as Don Lane I decided to post the album here. Dream Street was originally released in 1959 with a different cover depicting a much younger Tommy I'd hazard a guess that the album was re-released here to coincide with his poularity at the time.
Tommy Leonetti (10 September 1929 – 15 September 1979) was an American pop singer-songwriter and actor of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. In Australia his most famous song was "My City of Sydney" (written by Leonetti & Robert Troup) and was used by the Australian TV channel ATN7 in Sydney for station identification into the 1980s. In America he achieved greater success as a songwriter for movies and Broadway plays.
Tommy Leonetti was born Nicola Tomaso Lionetti in Bergen County, New Jersey in 1929. He married the American actress Cindy Robbins and was stepfather to her daughter, Kimberly Beck. They lived in Sydney, Australia, in the 1960s and 1970s before returning to America. While in Australia, Leonetti hosted his own talk-show from 1968 to 1970 for ATN-7.

Toni Lamond - Still A Gypsy
Don't Fence Me In - Gypsy In My Soul/ 99 Miles From LA/Breezin' Along With The Breeze/ Lost In The Stars/Stomp/The Happy Years/ Swanee-Swanee River/Ragtime Cowboy Joe/St Louis Blues/Sante Fe/Throw It Away/ That Place That I'll Call Home.
Toni Lamond AM is an Australian cabaret singer, stage and television actor, dancer and comedienne. She was given the nickname of "Lolly-Legs Lamond" by fellow veteran performer Noel Ferrier after being voted as having the second-best pair of legs in television while doing In Melbourne Tonight.
Lamond was born in Sydney in 1932, as Patricia Lamond Lawman. She began her professional career at the age of ten when she sang on the radio while touring with her vaudevillian parents in variety shows ,which included her actress mother Stella Lamond. Her first stage performances were at the Tivoli Theatre in Sydney. Her first performances as a leading lady were with English comedian Tommy Trinder in The Tommy Trinder Show in 1952. She has starred in Australian productions of Oliver!, Annie Get Your Gun, The Pajama Game and Gypsy: A Musical Fable and was a regular in a number of 1970s television shows such as Number 96 and Graham Kennedy's In Melbourne Tonight. She later compered her own IMT, becoming the first woman in the world to compere a variety television show.
She travelled to the United Kingdom where she appeared in the British night club circuit as well as on BBC-TV and BBC Radio. She also recorded two singles for Philips in London.[4] In the mid 1970s Lamond moved to Los Angeles where she appeared in musicals and television shows. She debuted on the New York stage with Cabaret at the age of 67. On her return to Australia in the mid 1990s she performed in shows including 42nd Street, The Pirates of Penzance and My Fair Lady.
In 2007 Lamond featured in Australian film Razzle Dazzle: A Journey into Dance. In April–May 2008 she appeared in an autobiographical one-woman show, Times of My Life (co-written with her son Tony Sheldon), at the Seymour Centre in Sydney.
Lamond has written several autobiographical books including, First Half (1990), Along the Way (2002) and Still a Gypsy (2007). The first book went to the top of the best-seller list in eight days.
In July 2010 Lamond was a headline act in the inaugural Melbourne Cabaret Festival.
The dozen tracks are a splendid example of Lamond's skills at selling a song and an object lesson in diction, timing and making the absolute most of your vocal talents. A real highlight is Breezin' Along With The Breeze, in which she is joined for the first time on disc by half-sister Helen (I Am Woman) Reddy for a jokey, light-hearted duet in which their voices blend marvellously. And a bouncy big-band arrangement of Stomp lets Lamond and Kerrie Biddell unleash the sort of energy that would do credit to someone half Toni's age. Swanee and Old Folks At Home are combined in a gently swinging arrangement and it's nice to hear unfashionable songs such as Ragtime Cowboy Joe and St Louis Blues done with such affection. Santa Fe adds a reflective note, and music theatre is represented by the haunting Lost In The Stars, by Kurt Weill and Maxwell Anderson, and Throw It Away, an amusing song about letting go of the past, a reject from Schmidt and Jones's I Do! I Do! Quality arrangements throughout cap an excellent album.

Peter Andre - Kiss the Girl
Kiss The Girl/Kiss The Girl (Original Version)/Best of Me
"Kiss the Girl" is a song was written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Howard Ashman for Walt Disney Pictures' twenty-eighth animated feature film The Little Mermaid (1989). Originally recorded by American actor Samuel Wright in his film role as Sebastian, "Kiss the Girl" is a calypso ballad, the song's lyrics encourage a young man to kiss his female love interest before it's too late. "Kiss the girl" has received mostly positive reception. The song was nominated for both an Academy and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, but lost both to "Under the Sea," another song from The Little Mermaid soundtrack.
When The Little Mermaid was re-released in cinemas, Peter André recorded a version of the song, which reached #9 on the UK Singles Chart. This version was later included on the Japanese issue of his third studio album, Time.
The Music Video for the song shows Andre performing the song in a recording studio. Scenes from the film are intercut with the video or shown on a backdrop behind Andre and the backing singers. There are slight references to water and the undersea world in the video. As Andre performs a beautiful girl comes in carrying water. Andre sees her and is immediately taken with her. He helps her clean up the water as she spills it and follows her into the next room where they gaze at each other through a fishtank. Andre tries to kiss the girl but she backs away. He follows her again as she goes outside and they share a kiss.
