A special thanks to Ozzie and Mrs. Ozzie for sending me these three Dog Trumpet CD's and then kindly letting me post them here.

Dog Trumpet is the braincild of 2 Mental As Anything members brothers Reg Mombasa (aka Chris O'Doherty) and Peter O'Doherty. In 1990 Mental As Anything members had agreed to take a sabbatical from their band work and turned to solo or side projects and Dog Tumpet was born.

(The Dog Trumpet sound reflects a sincere affection for classic 1960s pop and whimsical psychedelia. Wikipedia) while I'm not sure if I agree with that description I did find myself thinking of the Church when listening to some of the songs. Overall the album has some hard rock, a touch of Country and Western, folk ,rap and rockabilly.
