Jon English - Lovin' Arms

Jon English arrived in Australia from England at the age of 12 after leaving school was a member of Zenith and Sebastian Hardie. He then auditioned for the musical Jesus Christ Superstar and he landed the role that would make him a star Judas. Since then Jon has had hit singles and albums appeared on a number of T.V. series such as Matlock and No.96 as well as the hit mini series Against The Wind. This role won him a logie and the single from the series "Six Ribbons" a #1 single. This single comes from the 1976 album Hollywood Seven, "Lovin' Arms" could only mange #55 on the charts and the b-side is a non album track.

Showcase was a Talent Quest variety show that ran on Australian TV in the Sixties and Seventies hosted by Gordon Boyd the show had all types on it as you can see from the line up on this album . Of interest on this album are a young Mark Holden, Markeeta Little Wolf (Whose Australian album can be found on Midoztouch) and the future King of the kids Peter Combe.

Killing Heidi was an Australian rock band from Violet Town, Victoria. The band is most widely known for its multi-platinum album Reflector, released in 2000. Killing Heidi's second single "Mascara", was released in December 1999 and reached the top of the Australian charts on January 30th 2000 it stayed at #1 for three weeks, also achieving Platinum status.

Merril Bainbridge - Lonely

In 1994 Bainbridge signed to Ross Fraser and John Farnham's newly-formed Gotham Records label. "Mouth" was Bainbridge's debut release and the first song released from her debut album The Garden by Gotham Records. "Mouth" was released in Australia on November 1994 but was lost in the Christmas shuffle. It was reissued in February 1995 where it became to be the biggest song of Bainbridge's career, peaking at #1 in Australia for six consecutive weeks before becoming the fourth highest selling single in Australia for 1995. Mouth" was released in the United States on August 20, 1996 and became the most requested song on American radio for three weeks. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number #67 and after twelve weeks, the song peaked at #4. It spent a total of thirty weeks in the charts selling 600,000 copies and earning a gold single.
Her next album Between the Days released 1998 contained the single "Lonely" which received wide radio airplay on FOX FM upon its release but only managed to peak at #40 in Australia, #118 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart and number #25 in Japan.
Since then Merril has had limited success now working behind the scenes writing songs for other artists.
