Easybeats - Pretty Girl (EP)

Heaven And Hell/ Woman (Make You Feel Allright)/Come And See Her/Pretty Girl

The Easybeats were a rock and roll band from Australia. They formed in Sydney in late 1964 and split at the end of 1969. They are regarded as the greatest Australian pop band of the 1960s and were the first Australian rock and roll act to score an international pop hit with their 1966 single "Friday on My Mind". The band's line-up exemplified the influence of post-war migration on Australian society. All five founding members were from families who had migrated to Australia from Europe: lead singer Stevie Wright and drummer Gordon Henry "Snowy" Fleet were from England; rhythm guitarist George Young was from Scotland; lead guitarist Harry Vanda and bassist Dick Diamonde were from the Netherlands.

Loved Ones - Blueberry Hill (EP)

Everlovin' Man/Blueberry Hill/The Loved One/This Is Love

In 1965 three members of the Red Onions -- Ian Clyne (keyboards), Kim Lynch (bass) and Gerry Humphries (vocals, clarinet) -- joined forces with guitarist Rob Lovett and drummer Gavin Anderson from fellow jazz/blues stalwarts, The Wild Cherries, a band that itself would likewise transmute into a rock band not long after. These were seasoned, highly-skilled musos for whom the move from jazz to pop was considered something of a retrograde step. Led by the charismatic, dynamic Gerry Humphreys -- unquestionably one of the best rock singers this country has ever produced -- the new band immediately blew the pundits away with their unique sound, a repertoire that mixed tough rhythm & blues with appealing, quirky original pop tunes.
The Loved Ones announced their arrival in in early 1966 with their inimitable debut single "Everlovin' Man". A bluesy swing waltz that showed off Gerry's astonishing vocal range and Ian's inspired Hohner electric piano foundations, this single remarkably failed to chart until it was re-released in July on W&G’s pop imprint, In Records. But it certainly attracted attention, paving the way for the follow-up, "The Loved One", a raggedly driving, jiving rocker -- again inn 3/4 time -- that sorched up the charts to #2 in Sydney and #15 in Melbourne soon after its May 1966 release. In its wake, "Everlovin’ Man" hit #9 in Sydney and #2 in Melbourne when it was re-issued, dominating the upper reaches of the charts for 19 weeks. (From Milesago)

Vanessa Amorosi - Shine (EP)

Shine ( Radio version)/Shine ( Extended Radio Vesion)/Shine (R&B Version)/Shine (Extended R&B Version)/Shine (Unplugged Version)/Steam

"Shine" was the third single from Vanessa Amorosi's debut album The Power. The single made it to #4 on the charts, and went gold in just 2 weeks, and Platinum a month later. This EP has a number of different verions of "Shine" and the non album track "Steam".

From Wiki

The original lyrics to "Shine" were much darker. Mark Holden was responsible for the success of her song "Shine", which Amorosi wrote for a friend from high school who committed suicide. Amorosi says: "Mark changed a line in it. He said the song didn't work, or that one particular line in it didn't work. The line went 'Everyone you see, everyone you know is gonna die' and he didn't like the word 'die'. He thought it was just wrong. We were all sitting around trying to find a substitute, and we were all stuck on the word 'try'. But Mark came up with the idea of changing it to 'shine' and it all came together. That's Mark's magic. He has a great ear for music. He knows exactly what makes a hit. I think it was a good outcome, because something that was tragic became positive, but... I could never go back to changing it to 'die' now. It is what it is. A lot of my music on The Power was very personal, because I suppose that's what sets me apart from the other songwriters. I'm very blunt and honest with melodies and lyrics. I like to get straight to the point. So I think with "Shine" I tried to make it uplifting but it was very, very personal - and quite an upsetting song."
The song "Shine" was adopted by Ansett Airlines for their final advertising campaign before the company went bankrupt and had to shut down.
