28 Days are a punk rock band formed in Bacchus Marsh, Australia during 1997. At their career peak, they had a #1 album (Upstyledown) on the Australian ARIAnet Albums Chart and also a #12 single ("Rip It Up") on the ARIAnet Singles Chart.

The band's constant members are Jay Dunne (vocals), Simon Hepburn aka 'Hep' (guitar), and Damian Gardiner (bass). Original drummer Adam was replaced by Scott Murray in 2000. On 18 November 2001, Murray died after being hit by a car in the Melbourne suburb of Prahran. Vinnie Jukic then briefly filled in the drum role until Adrian Griffin joined, and Griffin would go on to stay until the band's dissolution. For the album Extremist Makeover, the drums were laid down by Matt Bray. The band came out of Hiatus in December 2009 to support long time friends Bodyjar on their 'End is Now' Tour. 28 Days have announced that they are currently writing an LP with new drummer Dan Kerby (previously of Behind Crimson Eyes) who joined the band at the beginning of 2011.

Beginning as a loose Melbourne pick-up band playing mostly covers of R&B, zydeco and blues songs, The Black Sorrows eventually evolved into a unit that scored several top 40 Australian hits with original material. In the beginning, though, The Black Sorrows were simply a way for singer Joe Camilleri to play some fun, low-pressure gigs after the dissolution of Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons. From 1983-1988, Camilleri adopted the pseudonym 'Joey Vincent' for his performances with the band.

Membership in the band has always been loose and fluid. Most of The Falcons were (at one point or another) members of The Black Sorrows; several dozen other Australian vocalists and musicians have drifted in and out of the line-up over the years, with Camilleri being the only constant.

The early line-up (c. 1983/84) included 'Joey Vincent' (i.e. Camilleri) on vocals and sax, Paul Williamson (sax/clarinet), Jeff Burstin (guitar), Wayne Burt (guitar), Wayne Duncan (bass), Gary Young (drums), George Butrumlis (accordion, piano) and Steve McTaggart (violin). Camilleri, Burstin, Burt and Young had all been members of Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons.
