Anne Kirkpatrick - Come Back Again

I Got You/Safe In The Arms Of Love/Long Ago Shoes/Lights In The Mirror/Baby With You/Honky Tonk Girl/Come Back Again/Born For The Night Life/Careless Heart/Somebody Loves You/Take Me Home/ In The Country

Here's another album sent to me by RAM a nice bit of rollicking Country Honk Rock from the daughter of the legend Slim Dusty. Released in 1987 this was the sixth release from Anne. My favourites on the album are "Safe In The Arms Of Love" "Honky Tonk Girl" and her rendition of Daddy Cool's "Come Back Again".

Anne Kirkpatrick (born 4 July 1952) is an Australian country music singer. She is the daughter of country singers Slim Dusty and Joy McKean.

Anne Kirkpatrick's family have been important figures in Australian country music since the 1950s. McKean was Dusty's wife and manager for over 50 years. Together the couple had two children, Anne Kirkpatrick and David Kirkpatrick. David is also an accomplished singer-songwriter. Kirkpatrick has released thirteen albums. She won Golden Guitar Awards at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 1979, 1991, and twice in 1992.

In 1987 she released a new album, “Come Back Again”. Produced by Mark Moffatt, “Come Back Again” saw Anne nominated for Best Country Album at the 1988 ARIA Awards and also for Most Popular Female artist, alongside performers Jenny Morris and Kylie Minogue. She also won an ARIA Award for Best Australian Country Record in 1991.

One again RAM has supplied a FLAC rip of his album which can be found in 2 parts HERE and HERE while the alternate 320kbps file can be found in the header.
