Let's see how it goes

As you can see I've started posting again I'll see how it goes I'm looking at another file manager at the moment so may start up an account with them to keep the links alive just not sure if I'll bother though if I'm going to go belly up again and loose all the links. So grab the music while you can and try to keep the links alive.

Cheers Deutros.

P.S. Thanks for the comments and support.

P.P.S. By the way I've started to post new links to the most recent posts.

Fantasy was a Melbourne pop group that was originally John Farnham's backing band. They had a huge novelty hit in 1973 with "Marrow Song" (which was the "B" side of the single). If you listen to John's old material you can hear that the Fantasy boys were adept at providing vaudevillian backing for some of John's schmaltzy hits. Their second hit "Just Another Pretty Face" was also very successful and had a great nostalgic sound from a bygone era.

Personnel (up to 1975): Jeff Buzalgo keyb'ds/vcls,Colin Ross drums/vcls,Chris Studdard bass/vcls,Dave Studdard guitar/vcls,Keith McKay keyboards

They put out 3 singles
1 Universal Sun / Suzie - 1971 - non-charting
2 Forty Days Of Rain / Marrow Song - 1973 - got to #11
3 Just Another Pretty Face / Look Around - 1973 - got to #45 (Info Tom Mix)

They went on to record an album, Tribute To Australian Rock And Roll (Hammond) in 1977 by the time the album was released only Colin Ross the drummer remained from the original groop. Groop members on the album were Colin Ross drums,Malcom Nichols guitar,David Sholson bass Lloyd keyboards vocals were shared by all members.   If you're after a nice little album to have a listen to on a sunday afternoon this is for you  18 renditions of some of Australia's iconic songs from the 60's and a couple that spill over into the 70's.

Bad News

Just to let everyone know I have been using Mediafire for quite some time now even opted for a paid account to try and keep the links to the music alive but alas to no avail Mediafire has suspended my account.
Apparently some one has made the complaint of my use of Copyrighted media relating to 'The Meteors' a fairly vauge accusation but this meant that any post that contained the words "the Meteors" was suspended and after a certain amount of posts were suspended my account was also suspended. I could appeal their decision but it is far to complicated process to bother it is far more easier to make the complaint than to defend it. So for the time being I'm having a little break to sort out what I will be doing.

Cheers Deutros.
