Keep Me Waiting/Bone In Your Body/Hot All over/Slapnutz/I'm The Man
The Shine are not all style and no substance as you will appreciate after listening to this EP. Although they have a penchant for stylish costumes, make-up and big rock shows, they actually have the songs to back it up. These tunes are big rock anthems in a 70's way, think early Bowie, (especially in singer Julian James) T-Rex, etc this CD has a bit more edge to it than the other one I posted earlier as a result I like it a tad more. Posting this one and another to come on a request from skids so I hope you like it.

Jeepney Talk/Without You/Through Your Window/Laughing Matter/Darkest Hours/Get Me Out Of Here/Touching Me/On The Nightline/Time/Magneto/Americans
The Eurogliders was formed in 1980 by Bernie Lynch (guitar and vocals) and Amanda Vincent (keyboards), originally under the name of "Living Single".Lynch and Vincent advertised in a Perth newspaper and recruited the original line-up, Crispin Akkerman (guitar), Guy Slingerland (drums) and Don Meharry (bass).
The band performed for two years in Perth, generating their material, sound and building up a following. By the end of 81, drummer John Bennets replaced Slingerland following his resignation. In 1981 well after the band had established itself, an ex-girlfriend of Lynch's, former cabaret singer Grace Knight, auditioned for the band and was recruited as the lead vocalist. Some months later, the band changed their name to Eurogliders and was soon approached by manager Brian Peacock, who closed their first recording and publishing contracts with Polydor. Eurogliders then recruited Melbourne bass player Geoff Rosenberg. In 1982, with the line-up settled, Eurogliders travelled to Manila, capital city of the Philippines, to record their first album which was produced by Englishman Len Lubin. From Manila, the band relocated to Sydney. The album was called Pink Suit Blue Day, and their first hit single later that year was "Without You".
This is a fantastic debut album opens with the driving "Deepney Talk" then straight into the hit "Without You" for me this is 80's at it's best. The 80's was a bit like the music of today a doesn't do much for me but some bands seem to transcend the times the Eurogliders was one of those bands for me . I bought the other 3 albums but for one reason or another didn't buy this at the time so had to wait til recently when i was lucky enough to score a copy. The album is brilliant and there isn't a dud on here.
